There are four commonly used repair methods for precision gear tooth surface wear: adjustment transposition method, correction cutting method, insert repair method and surfacing repair method.
1. Adjusting the transposition method: mainly to change the orientation of the worn precision gear, and use the part of the gear that has not been worn or slightly worn to continue working. It is more suitable for the repair of gear transmissions where one-way running stress causes wear on one side of the gear teeth. It is also possible to adjust the gears to the correct position by adding an adjusting washer to the shaft where the gears are installed without adding structure, but it is best to flip them in pairs, or replace the matching gears with new precision gears to ensure Normal meshing of gears.
2. Correction of cutting method: We can apply the method of highly technical displacement to reduce the outer diameter of the scrapped large gear to a certain value, then re-hob the gear, cut off the pitted part of the tooth surface, and use negative displacement for the large gear. , The pinion is used for positive displacement, and after processing, it becomes a new precision gear with no change in the influence of transmission system parameters, so that the work of the large gear can be improved and repaired, and funds are invested.
3. Insert tooth repair method: For precision gears with low load and low speed, after knocking out individual gear teeth, when repairing, plan the tooth root of the bad gear on a planer to form a trapezoidal groove, and press it in with a certain degree of tightness. New tooth blanks with the same groove shape, welded firmly or bolted, processed and reshaped.
4. Surfacing repair method: If the tooth surface of individual gears is worn or the tooth surfaces on both sides are worn beyond the limit, one or more layers of metal can be surfacing on the surface of the precision gear in whole or in part according to the damage of the gear.
