1. Stamping concept

Stamping is by the press and mold on the plate, strip, pipe and profile, such as external force, plastic deformation or separation, so as to obtain the required shape and size of the workpiece (stamping) forming processing method.Stamping and forging belong to plastic processing (or pressure processing), collectively known as forging. The blanking stock is mainly hot and cold rolled steel plate and strip.Of the world's steel, 60 to 70 percent is plate, most of which is stamped into finished products

The automobile body, chassis, oil tank, radiator piece, boiler drum, container shell, electrical machinery, electrical core of silicon steel piece are stamping processing.Instruments, household appliances, bicycles, office machinery, household utensils and other products, there are also a large number of stamping parts.

2. Stamping process characteristics

A. stamping is A processing method with high production efficiency and low material consumption.Stamping process is suitable for the production of large quantities of parts and products, which is easy to achieve mechanization and automation, with high production efficiency.

B. The operation process is convenient, and it does not require the operators to have a high level of skills.

C. The stamped parts generally do not need to be machined and have high dimensional accuracy.

D. The stamping parts have good interchangeability.Stamping processing stability is good, the same batch of stamping parts. Can be used interchangeably without affecting assembly and product performance.

E. As the stamping parts are made of plates, their surface quality is better, which provides convenient conditions for subsequent surface treatment processes (such as electroplating and painting).

F. Stamping processing can obtain parts with high strength, large stiffness and light weight.

G. Low cost of stamping parts mass produced by molds.

H. stamping can produce parts with complex shapes that are difficult to process by other metal processing methods.

3. Introduction to stamping process

Mechanical steering system takes the driver's physical strength as the source of steering power, among which all mechanical transfer structures are mechanical.Mechanical steering system is composed of steering control mechanism, steering gear and steering transmission mechanism.

A. separation process

The finished and semi-finished products with certain shape, size and cutting surface quality are obtained by separating the sheet material along certain contour line under the action of external force.Separation conditions: stress in the deformed material exceeds strength limit b.

a. blanking

With the die along the closed curve punch, punch down the part is part.Used for making flat parts of various shapes.

b. punching

Use the die to punch along the closed curve. There are several forms such as positive punching, side punching and hanging punching.

c. trimming

Trim the edges of the forming parts or cut them into shapes.

d. separation

A die is used to produce separation by punching along an open curve.

When the left and right parts are formed together, the separation process is used more.

B. Forming process

The finished and semi-finished products of a certain shape and size are obtained by plastic deformation of the blank without cracking.

Forming conditions: yield strength S<Internal stress of materials <Strength limit b.

a. drawing

The blank sheet forming into various open hollow parts.

b. flanging

The edge of a sheet or semi-finished product is formed into a vertical edge along a curve with a certain curvature.

c. plastic

A forming method used to improve the dimensional accuracy of formed parts or to obtain a small fillet radius.

d. turn hole

An erect edge on a prepunched sheet or semi-finished product or on an unpunched sheet.

e. bending

Bending sheet material into various shapes along a straight line can be used to process parts with extremely complex shapes.
